万锦 WISMER 社区
Wismer 是万锦市 (Markham) 的新住宅区，位于万锦市的东北部。其位于16街以北，McCowan Road以东，Major Mackenzie 以南，Markham 以西的方形区域内。
Wismer 社区名来源于David Wismer家族，此家族是万锦市开城元老之一。最初来自德国，随后去了宾夕法尼亚州，于1806年Wismer家族移民到万锦市定居。David Wismer及太太Lydia Wismer于1856年过世，他们的后裔依然不断为社区做贡献，捐赠土地给不同的社区组织，包括社区的第一所学校的土地也是由此家族赠送的。这所曾经只有一间教室的学校所在16街/Hwy48西南角于1864年迁移到北部，原址改为万锦市历史博物馆。
社区干净整洁，小区中央的大公园Wismer Community Park 依然保留了大片林地。此外，社区还有Fred Mclaren Park, Roy Rainey Park, Ralph Chalmers Park 等公园。另外，社区还有两个人工湖，使得Wismer小区显得自然而又和谐。社区南面有极富特色的 Old Markham Village。自然风景优美，多个公园及小湖泊环绕。
近几年社区体系不断完善，Markham 路沿线有不少商店，餐饮等配套设施完善。社区内举步到Mount Joy Go Train station， York Region Transit穿梭于各条主街，对居民出行非常方便。社区附近有Metro 、Sobey等西人超市，丰泰华人超市，Markville Mall大型购物中心。附近还有很多华人美食餐厅可供选择。
在人口结构方面，华人最多，占52%。其它人口较多的族裔是：印巴裔13%，菲律宾裔5%，意大利裔4%，斯里兰卡裔4%。
Wismer小区房屋很新，大部分房屋的房龄在5-15年，属于新房和次新房。房型有独立屋、半独立屋、连屋、镇屋，高层公寓齐全。Wismer 小区整体形状非常方正，房屋多以2层楼为主的现代风格。
但是需要注意的是，社区东部边界的Markham Rd以东是南亚移民的聚居区，很多华人对此有些顾虑。
